◗ Part 1 – The Basics
– Instructional video: Accounting records transactions. A transaction is defined by a source and a destination. By convention, the source is the credit side, and the destination is the debit side. The advantage of T-accounts is that they allow you to calculate the balance at the end of a period.
– Exercise: Recording simple transactions with cash as the offsetting entry
