    ◗ This guided e-learning course consists of 8 modules (ranging from 20 to 30 minutes), organized chronologically to facilitate a gradual understanding of financial terminology.

    ◗ Module 1 – The Business Model

    – Explore the components of a business model and understand how the business model is affected by market changes.

    ◗ Module 2 – The Financial Cycle

    – Understand the fundamental concepts of operating income and operating margin, financial profitability, asset turnover, and cash flow from operations.

    ◗ Module 3 – The Review

    – Break down the components of the balance sheet and apply this knowledge through an engaging practical example.

    ◗ Module 4 – Revenue

    – Understand revenue recognition upon progress or completion, and distinguish between recognized revenue, invoiced revenue, and collected revenue.

    ◗ Module 5 – The Income Statement

    – Establish the link between results, cash flow, and performance monitoring; understand the intermediate levels of costs and margins.

    ◗ Module 6 – Cost of Goods Sold

    – Analyze production costs and distinguish between costs allocated directly and costs allocated using allocation keys.

    ◗ Module 7 – Cash

    – Understand the differences between cash inflows and outflows, measure the impact of operating activities on cash flow, and learn about free cash flow.

    ◗ Module 8 – The Decision to Invest

    – Understand the concepts of return on investment and cost of capital. Learn about payback period, net present value, and internal rate of return.
